The application process for the “Different” Design Competition - The Young Creative Ideas Platform carried out within the scope of MARBLE İzmir that aims for top of world in the sector, has ended. At the Different Design Competition where nearly one hundred designs competed, the designs were submitted to the Jury first then to the companies that will produce them. The designs to beimplemented will be exhibited between the dates of April 1 - 4 at MARBLE Izmir.
MARBLE Izmir Fair, one of the biggest global meeting of the natural stone industry, has been preparing to open its doors from Fuar Izmir to the world between April 1 - 4. The Marble Izmir Fair to be held for the 26th time, will gather the world together in Izmir this year with its examples that have become a natural stone exhibition with its diversity, the machines that closely concern the industry, and its newest technologies. The Fair organized by İZFAŞ and hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, distinguished this year as being the first fair of the sector. The first natural stone exhibition will be held in MARBLE Izmir. The Young Creative Ideas Platform, one of the most important examples of the branding movement in the design launched in recent years by İZFAŞ, gathered the designs and designers, each more important than the other. The design contest organized for the third time this year with the theme of "Different", brought together innovative companies and young designers.
The designs are acclaimed
Approximately one hundred designs participated in the competition, the application process of which has recently ended. The first meeting took place along with the jury to add new ones to the designs that was exhibited during MARBLE Izmir Fair in the past years and widely acclaimed by the sector. The jury, consisting of important people, has highlighted the designs that may be implemented. The second meeting took place between the companies that participate to the fair and will produce the designs, and the designers. Young designers, who create brand new products by using natural stones, made presentations. Approximately 20 products were selected in the competition featuring many designs from aquarium to table lamps, street furniture to kitchen products. The designs to be implemented until April 1, which is the starting date of MARBLE Izmir, will be exhibited throughout the fair.
All are winners
All the projects created will be awarded with a special design plaque which is “MARBLE Different Design Award”. The three best projects to be selected among the products created will be entitled to receive the "MARBLE Most Different Design Award". The special design plaque, which is “MARBLE Cooperation Design Award”, will be granted to 2 projects at most, considering well collaborations especially reflected in the production process of the company and the designer. As a result of the platform, young and creative ideas will find the opporunity to exhibit their projects and designs for natural stones in collaboration with the industry, during the MARBLE Izmir Fair to be held at Fuar Izmir.
